So, if someone has 2 AKC registered dogs and breeds them they are BYB?

Someone explained this to me today. Professional breeders are the ones who do it for the love of the breed, not for money, not just for fun. They do it because their dog has the best genes, temperament, health, etc. Not just for looks. This does not necessarily mean they are for showing, just that they breed because they love the breed and want to further it. Everyone else is, at least according to the person I talked to, a BYB.
