Is it time for my to quit my job in the newsroom?

I been working in a newsroom for the #1 tv station for the past 2 years. I worked as a researcher aspiring to become a reporter. I juggled this job with a contract as an editor at Microsoft. For the past 6 months, I been feeling like the newsroom may not be where I want to end up. The poeple I work with are all frustrated, divorced, obsessed with their jobs and cynical. The more I work there, the less glamorous being a reporter seems. I admit that the main reason I wanted to be a reporter was because I wanted to look good on tv. I was offered a full-time job at Microsoft and I am thinking of taking it because I love the web, but I feel like it would be the safe way to go. What should I do?
