Okay I need some inspiration for a poem?

It's an eglish ignment so I have to write a poem. I like writting so it shouldn't be that bad but poetry isn't really my thing, I like writting short stories better. I was thinking of doing a haiku beccause I really like them: the simplicity and the flow but my teacher says she doesn't want some 4 line poem and haikus are less so that killed my first idea. I like writting about everyday things, describing them so they seem extraordinary but I can't think of a subject for my poem! I have no ideas. Thanks for your help, any ideas would be great.
