Why do conservatives think that the rich don't have enough money?

I don't get why people think this, my husband and I are conservatives and he has been in the Army for 10 years, he is enlisted and by no means are we rich, we are just barley above the poverty level. My family is generations of small farmers in Illinois, again, not even close to being rich. Now my in-laws are quite wealthy, they live in a multimillion dollar home on the gulf coast in Florida, they are Democrats and liberals. Our families are proof that not all conservatives are rich and not all Democrats are poor.
