I found a baby bird on my front porch this morning what can i do?

i know the bird is a fledgling because it has all its feathers, also I think its a house finch as well. I'm pretty sure it attempted to fly out of the ferns on our front porch. Its just sitting there chirping nonstop. and our neighbors have cats but theyve gotten baby birds before. so should i put it back in the nest or just leave it there?
